You can experience an authentic tea ceremony at local home of a Kyoto-born instructor in the central area of Kyoto. You can catch a glimpse of the real Kyoto lifestyle. You can experience Japanese tea ceremony in a authentic tea room with high-quality matcha and order-based Japanese sweets. You don't have to sit formally,we have chairs or cusions if you needed.

Our tea is, of course, Uji-produced matcha from Kyoto. We also serve a variety of locally sourced Kyoto seasonal sweets. We will provide explanations about the changing shapes and colors according to the seasons.

Tea ceremony is not just about drinking tea and eating sweets. Enjoy the tea ceremony experience in the home of a locally born Kyoto instructor, in a classroom where even locals attend.
Appreciate the hanging scrolls and utensils that you can only see here, and relish the stories and seasonal arrangements that you can only here. In this tea ceremony experience, it's not just a simple class designed for tourists; even those who have previously experienced other tea ceremonies in Kyoto can find it enjoyable. Moreover, you have the opportunity to inquire about ikebana (flower arranging) with the instructor, who is also a qualified ikebana teacher, and ask any questions you may have.
Feel free to ask anything you're curious about, and savor the tranquility of a completely private setting. After enjoying the tea made by the instructor during the demonstration, you'll have the chance to prepare your own tea.

★Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to participate. ★It is NOT includes kimono. ★Feel free to take photos during the class. ★ Please refrain from video recording during the instructor's demonstration. ★ Please wear socks or bring them with you. ★ If you arrive barefoot, socks can be purchased at an additional cost. ★Please come without perfume because it effect for your tea and tea room. ★We recommend to wear comfortable long trousers or long skirt because you need to sit in tatami floor for an hours. Also it makes damage for tatami mat if you come with naked legs in short skirts or shorts. ★We have chairs and cushions.Please let us know in advance if you needed. ★Children under 12 years old are not acceptable. ★During the year-end and New Year holidays, spring, summer vacation periods, and the peak season in autumn, our prices will be adjusted to reflect peak season rates.
